From the streets of Queens, New York to platinum studios with hip-hop royalty — Super Producer Self is one of the most decorated and versatile music executives in the game.

Self's journey began in New York where his raw talent caught the attention of Irv Gotti — the legendary A&R at Def Jam Records — while producing for Onyx. Irv schooled him on the business side, opening doors to Def Jam and the entire hip-hop elite. From there, Self built one of the most impressive independent production careers in music history.

With over 30 years in the music business and 25+ platinum records to his name, Self has produced for DMX, LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Onyx, Method Man, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and dozens more. His production credits include the video game soundtrack for Def Jam Vendetta — reaching millions of fans worldwide.

His biggest hit — DMX's "What's My Name" — became a 10× Platinum smash. He earned a Grammy nomination for Juelz Santana's landmark Dipset album and has continued to push creative boundaries ever since.

Today, Self operates as a Director, Film Producer, Videographer, Editor, and AI Music Video Pioneer. He runs Self-TV Network — a 24-hour independent digital broadcast network with 25 channels. ELPD Productions Incorporated serves independent artists, labels, brands, and media companies across all 50 states, offering everything from beats and mixing to full artist management.
